The purpose of this annual Kali Puja is to seek the help of goddess in destroying evil within us and diminish all negative tendencies that lessen our spiritual growth. This religious festival will increase the degree of awareness of traditional Kali Puja and its functions and activities involved, among the South Asian community especially to the generation that are raised in North America.
